Architectural Photography
Structural analysis with a camera. Documenting buildings for what they mean, not just how they look.
A building is a frozen decision. Every line, material choice, and spatial relationship is someone's answer to a problem. Architectural photography that merely documents appearance misses the point. I photograph architecture to reveal structural logic — what the designer intended, whether it was executed, and how the building relates to its context. Truth over flattery, documentation over decoration.

How I Approach It
I start by reading the building. Before any camera comes out, I study the architect's intent, walk the spaces, observe how light moves through them at different times. Then I photograph what I find — including the failures, because they're often more instructive than the successes. This isn't about making buildings look impressive. It's about understanding them and communicating that understanding through images.

Common Questions
What does this kind of engagement usually include?
Every engagement starts with context, intended usage, and a delivery plan. From there the work usually covers things like pre-shoot research: understanding the architect's intent and design context, photography that reveals structural logic, not just appearance, multiple lighting conditions captured (morning, afternoon, occupied, empty). The goal is not just to finish a shoot or edit, but to leave behind assets that still make sense after the first release.
How is the work delivered once the production is done?
The output is delivered as an organized asset set, not a file dump. That usually means context documentation — how the building relates to its surroundings and organized delivery with architectural terminology and spatial annotations. When the project needs it, I also include channel guidance or structure that makes the next round of production easier.
Can this plug into broader marketing or content work?
Yes. This type of work often sits inside a larger operating system. It can connect to a Content Studio engagement, a website refresh, a launch campaign, or an ongoing production rhythm where photography and video are part of business infrastructure rather than isolated tasks.
